A blog about our crazy life and how we got to where we are...which is nowhere yet! How we lived the American dream in the spur of a moment and are now digging ourselves out of the hole. You will cry, hopefully laugh and take away a little lesson learned from our experiences. At least that's what we hope! Enjoy our blog/life.

You've been Warned! Just saying...

You know what really Grinds My Gears...
is the lack of respect some people have...and for mothers in the most part.
I have experienced some crap since I have become a mother, and it has nothing to do with my child and the every day strategy I have to figure out to get through the day.
I don't need my tray, coffee or whatever carried for me...I just unloaded a purse, diaper bag and stroller out of the trunk of my car with a 33 lb child on my hip!  Don't even worry about holding the door open for me...God gave me a rear end and a foot - I'm very capable of figuring it out!
But, when I have to pee I am in wild racing horse mode.  So please, if you are a single, non-handicapped person, DO NOT use the family restroom where, first of all, is the only changing table in the whole store, a child restraint seat for me to hang my 33 lb child while I pee in peace {well, without holding him on my hip}  Oh, and one more thing....don't get all snippy with me for knocking on the door...I should have snapped your head off!
So please, {lady at Target}, use a regular stall like the rest of the grown up world.

He really loves me

Last night after we got Brady to bed...{well even before for me} we were running around like crazy trying to get our house picked up a bit for an in home panel interview I had this morning for a study I had participated in.  Kev did the dishes for me, greatly appreciated! Even though I know he dreaded it, because he said he did.  But when I went to bed last night the clean dishes were still laying out drying...which is fine.  I totally planned on putting them away this morning when I woke.  Well, my sweet husband :) put them away this morning before he left for work.  What a guy!  I know it doesn't mean much to him because it is just dishes, but it means sooo much to me!  To not have to lock Brady in his room so I can run and put the dishes away, or even just one less thing to worry about this morning.
Ahh-my man truly knows the way to my heart!

Closet Makeover Introduction

Our closets desperately need a makeover.  Whom ever lived in our home before really did a number on these closets, and not a good one.  I may or may not post pics...it is too embarrassing!  And impossible to keep organized.
I have a few ideas I would like to to throw out there on what we would like to do.  The closets are not very big and of course, Brady and I share a closet.  Believe it or not, Kevin has more shoes than I do!

I like the organization of this closet, but we have these same wire racks and they are falling apart, crooked and do not look this organized at all.

I think adding drawers to our closet would be a great way to hide clutter, and with our small home we have a lot of that!  But I can tell you right now, one bar for hanging just wont cut it.

This one is more of what we need.  It is about the size of our closets too.  I think this may be a winner.  However, I do not keep my shoes in my closet, as they hang on the back of the bedroom door.

This one is a lot like the other above.  The hanging units are small which means I would have to fold my jeans and put them in one of those little cubicals - this gets messy fast for me.  And I do not think just two drawers will cut it and I am sick of canvas bins.  These closets are not realistic at all...whose closet looks like this?

So here you have it, my ideas...totally picked apart!  This is going to be harder than I thought.  I may just have to settle...  What are you thoughts?  I seriously need help!
